The factory area of China National Nuclear Corporation Jiahua Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is located in Jiayuguan Jiadong Industrial Park. The company's predecessor was the former No. 5 Branch of Factory 404, founded in 1959. It is mainly a mechanical processing and maintenance branch built to provide spare parts, mechanical processing, and military container manufacturing for the main process branch of Factory 404. It is the earliest enterprise to build Factory 404. In 2006, in order to implement the spirit of the relevant documents on the separation of main and auxiliary industries and the reform of auxiliary industries in the country, in accordance with the requirements of the Notice on the Implementation Measures for the Separation and Resettlement of Surplus Personnel in the Reform of Main and Auxiliary Industries in State owned Large and Medium sized Enterprises issued by the former National Economic and Trade Commission, Ministry of Finance, Labor and Social Security and other eight ministries, and the Guiding Opinions on the Separation and Reform of Main and Auxiliary Industries in State owned Enterprises issued by China National Nuclear Corporation, the Fifth Branch of the former 404 Factory was restructured as an independent legal entity, Gansu CNNC Jiahua Nuclear Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd. In 2013, through the overall acquisition of employee equity, CNNC Jiahua Company successfully transformed into a mixed ownership enterprise controlled by a legal entity. In 2016, with the approval of the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, it was restructured and changed to China National Nuclear Corporation Jiahua Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd.
